Counterfeit merchandise may have:
- Counterfeit hangtag, hologram, or label
- Repeating serial numbers on holograms
- Overall inferior quality
- Poor quality graphics
- Ripped or torn sewn-in labels
- Misspellings
- Uneven embroidery
- Derogatory, lewd or offensive designs
